This lamps were fired artisanally trough the saggar technique, in which humble materials such as sawdust, sand, and coffee grounds collaborate with fire to acquire the hues of smoke, red flashes and purple-ish glares.

The warm opalescent light soflty lights up any environment and the lamp is easily lit up through a textile cord.

Given the difficulty to control the results of this kind of fire, a faux kitsungi with gold leaf was applied in the rim to accentuate some unexpected results.
